Growth spurt
We apologize for being somewhat lax in our blogging over the last while. We've definitely been keeping busy with the little man, who keeps growing and changing.
We were very saddened by the loss of our fun-loving parakeet, Cameron. He became ill for about a week before passing away on 10/27. Our house is sadly much quieter with him gone. He really was a great bird, who loved music (especially jazz), people, parties, and of course all of his toys. I've put together a collection of photos of him over the years and uploaded a video of him playing with some of his toys.
We enjoyed a visit from Phil on 10/25, who stopped by after a teacher's conference to see Gavin and see me in my final hours of being 29. The four of us took a jaunt over to the pumpkin patch. You can see the photo gallery of our adventure over on Picasa. The Vreeman's in the crowd will also appreciate this drive-by beaver face shot. Although we haven't had Gavin weighed in a few weeks, it certainly seems as though he is in a bit of a growth spurt. Not only is he eating more, but our fatigued arms are another sign. Hopefully his head growth can keep up with his body!
Now that I'm back in full swing at work, Lorrie and Gavin are having to get along without me. I've had trips to North Carolina, South Carolina, and am heading off to DC tomorrow. As much as I'd like to take Gavin with me, I don't think he's quite up for airplane travel just yet.
